Fiber Installation FAQs
Installation costs are based on the actual service location address.
How Much Does Fiber Service Installation Cost?
Because we primarily service rural settings, the cost of installing fiber-optic service to your home or small business can vary considerably, and will be quoted in advance. The typical installation fee for homes near primary fiber runs (i.e. typically along major roadways) is $100-$300. For homes further off the fiber runs, costs can be much higher. For homes located on a main fiber run, the cost can be much lower.
How Does My Exact Location Affect the Fee?
Fiber-optic cabling must be physically installed at the service location to enable hi-speed internet service. This requires specialized equipment and qualified, licensed installers. The total installation fee is a function of material costs (cable, poles, etc.), equipment and crews needed, the total distance covered by cabling, crossing roadways or waterways, clearing trees, and similar case-by-case requirements.
What Other Options Are Available?
We will do everything we can to bring fiber optic service to your home or business in the most affordable way possible. However, certain situations may simply be cost prohibitive for some customers. In these cases, we recommend line-of-sight wireless internet service from our sister company, ArkLaNet. We’ll discuss these options with you in the event fiber optic service to your location isn’t viable.
